Events at LIS

We host a range of events that give applicants, offer holders, and their families opportunities to learn about LIS and get their questions answered.

Whether you’ve only just discovered LIS, or you’ve already submitted an application, we’d love for you to join. You can register for any of our Open Days, Q&As, Lates, and other events below.

Event Types

One-to-ones: campus visits, chats, and coffees

Campus visits

Come and take a look at our east London campus, based in Whitechapel (just off Brick Lane). A member of the team will show you around and answer any questions you might have.

Chats & coffees

We know that we’re new, we’re different, and that you might have questions. We’re always up for a chat — we can have you in for a casual coffee, or jump on a Teams/Zoom/Hangouts call if that makes life easier.

Open days

BASc open days

When & where: BASc open days happen online, or in person at our east London campus if taking place on weekends or during the school holidays.

Who’s invited? Prospective undergraduates, their friends and family. Plus, any curious teachers or other individuals who want to find out more about our bachelor’s degree.

What can I expect? These events are a great way for you to get a feel for what it would be like to study at LIS as an undergraduate. During Open Days you’ll meet members of the LIS team, current students, and other prospective applicants. You’ll hear from our faculty about the curriculum, careers offering, and student experience — and have the chance to ask any questions you might have.

MASc open days

When & where: MASc open days take place online, usually during the week around 6pm (GMT) — at the end of the typical working day.

Who’s invited? Prospective students, professionals, or anyone who’s interested in finding out more about our new master’s programme.

What can I expect? Whilst the MASc draws on some shared principles and philosophy with our BASc (e.g., interdisciplinarity), the master’s has an emphasis on practical outcomes — delivering impact in the world of work beyond academic study. Our MASc open days aim to show you what this means in practice. You can expect an overview of the curriculum and involvement of the LIS Network, as well as real examples of the practical outcomes of interdisciplinarity as found in the professional world. We’ll then open up the floor to any questions.

Meet & greets
Plus Icon

In-person or online

Throughout the year, we hold meet & greets for prospective students as an opportunity to meet the team, meet each other, and (when in-person) check out LIS HQ.

These informal events are a great way to meet our faculty, wider team, and current students, and get a feel for our campus.

Whether you’ve only just discovered LIS, or you’ve already submitted an application, we’d love for you to join.
