EXHIBITION
EncounteringEcosystems

The LIS Gallery will be showcasing creative work from an innovative module focused on helping learners to foster an emotional connection with a local habitat and the species that live there, through mixed methods research and creative practice. The event will additionally feature short talks from leading educators, activists and eco-artists working at the intersection of ecology and education.

Expect to interactively engage with our students’ work, hear from and network with thought-leaders, enjoy a film screening and participate in a workshop Celebrating Embodied Ecological Connections

Tania Barker's joyful, immersive workshop on Celebrating Embodied Ecological Connections celebrates the students' work they have brought into being from the Encountering Ecosystems module, inviting a collective recognition of shared themes, insights, and experiences. Through movement, voice, and reflection, participants are guided to explore what it means to belong to a living world ~ not just as an idea, but as something felt.

Together, we gather what has been seen, expressed, and discovered, and open into the question: what’s possible now?
