The Director's Scholarship
Full tuition, for those who've demonstrated what serious academic work looks like. Up to three awarded per programme.
Outstanding academic records deserve more than recognition
LIS was founded on the belief that the most pressing questions facing society don't belong to any single discipline. The Director's Scholarship exists to ensure that those with the academic rigour to pursue those questions can join us, regardless of circumstance.
This is a full tuition award. Not a discount, not a partial contribution – complete fee remission, covering the full cost of your MASc programme.

Open to all applicants
Across all MASc programmes
We're looking for evidence of rigour, sustained across a degree
The Director's Scholarship is primarily an academic award. Recipients are selected by a panel comprising the Director of Recruitment and Admissions, your MASc Programme Director, and the relevant Programme Lead. They'll be looking at three things.

A scholarship application runs alongside your MASc application. You can't submit one without the other. Both must be with us by 15th July 2026.
1
Submit your MASc application
Complete your full programme application, including your Critical Reflection and interim transcripts for your highest completed qualification. This is the foundation of your scholarship assessment.
2
Submit your scholarship statement
In no more than 500 words, outline how the MASc programme will build on or further develop your previous academic studies. Submitted separately via a scholarship form below. This form will be sent to you after we review your initial application.
3
We'll be in touch
The selection panel reviews all eligible applications after the deadline. Successful applicants will be notified directly. Late applications may be considered on a case-by-case basis — contact us before submitting if you're concerned about timing.
