A new initiative has been set up by PreistmanGoode, a London-based design agency, to redesign food delivery in a way that encourages sustainability. Essentially, it involves getting people to return their bioplastic containers (made from sustainable materials such as cocoa beans) to takeaway restaurants. Find out more here>>

A US lab has just 3D-printed a working human heart pump from human cells. This isn’t the first time they’ve tried to do something like this – though in the past they weren’t able to get the human heart muscle cells to work due to problems with cell density.  Find out more here>>

A team of US scientists will be exploring a mysterious blue sinkhole located in Florida called ‘Green Banana’. The blue holes only open up in the sea, making them more difficult to explore and understand than land sinkholes. Marine biologist Karen Osborn was out with her colleagues photographing deep-sea fish and came across an ultra-black fish. This fish disappeared into just an outline when she would try to take photos – even with it being exposed to two strobe lights. Researchers have found out that one of the species found can absorb 99.956 % of the light it encounters.  Find out more here>>
