About the event
We're hosting an event on Thursday 27th January online, from 6.00–7.00pm (GMT). The purpose of the session is to introduce you to our new master's degree, the LIS MASc.
You’ll hear about the curriculum from Dr James Carney, who’s leading on our master’s learning experience. James has held a number of academic positions across the UK and Ireland, and most recently was a Wellcome Trust Fellow using methods from machine learning and experimental psychology to establish the therapeutic impact of fiction on anxiety and depression.
Also joining the event, and supporting James on the academic side, will be Dr Amelia Peterson. Amelia is a social scientist with a background in policy and consulting. Prior to LIS, Amelia was an LSE Fellow in Social Policy. She has also taught and supervised students at the University of Bristol and at Harvard, where she received her PhD.
You’ll also hear from Ed Fidoe (CEO and co-founder) on all things beyond the academics: the LIS Network, studying in London, and student experience. We’ll then open up the floor to any questions.
