What is More Than a Book Club?
More Than a Book Club is where members of the LIS team and the ID Learning Community come together to talk about real-world problems. Discussions will be relaxed and informal. We’ll base the online meet-up on a book, podcast, film, newsletter – whatever catches our eye.

Join us on Tuesday 9rd March 2021, 4:30 – 5:15pm (GMT) where we will be discussing series 9 episode 1 of long-running documentary series 63 Up UK. The series has followed twelve British children from different socioeconomic backgrounds since they were seven years old, who are revisited every seven years to discuss their experiences and hopes for the future. This episode catches up with cab driver Tony, and Oxford graduate Nick, and includes reflections from earlier instalments of the documentary. This fascinating series allows us to see social mobility in action.
